Five is the magic number! This "Turning Interlocking Cube" has a level five solution, with five rotations and five different wood types. Designed by Andrew Crowell, these fascinating TIC's take it to the next level. Instead of straightforward linear moves, these designs require rotations during the solution process. Construction is outstanding, with shouldered joinery where side grain gluing is not possible, and detailed bevels which flow around the shouldered joints for a uniform appearance.

After almost 2 years in my collection I dared to work on PenTIC and it was an awesome experience. Figuring out what needs to be placed where is not taking long, but the journey to success was phenomenal. A real highlight for me personally and self-speaking a recommendation. Eric's craftmanship is top notch as always and even the wood choices are perfect!
Just the right level of difficulty for me and it looks stunning on the shelf!
Andrew Crowell has taken the puzzle world by storm with his innovative TIC designs (Turning Interlocking Cube).
They feature some amazing, counter-intuitive rotational moves.
PenTIC is no exception - it's quite amazing and really fun! CD ships it unassembled for an extra challenge (I got one from Andrew that came assembled and that was pretty hard).
You can't go wrong with Crowell or Cubic Dissection - these are top shelf puzzles
