Finding the assemblies for 2 6 piece burrs isn’t the easiest thing and then you have to make a cube out of them. Definitely glad I grabbed one. Even fun just making different 6 piece burrs with the pieces after you solved it
This one is definitely more difficult than I anticipated. Fun burr puzzle that’s not your normal burr!
Everything I’ve gotten from Cubicdissection has been absolutely wonderful. This box is a clever, clever, clever piece of working art. 📦
HHV is the most beautiful packing puzzle box I've seen. The slick opening African Teak lid pairs wonderfully with the Figured Maple box and the grain of the lacewood pieces is fascinating. HHV has a few tricky rotations and the pieces fit satisfyingly like a glove. Wow! A must collect puzzle for packing puzzle fans.
I really enjoyed solving the Aha Box. The instructions that came with it were minimal but very adequate. The puzzle is really well made. I’ll own it for years
MagneTeam is an expertly crafted puzzle with multiple solutions which will puzzle you for quite some time. In addition to the 3 Granadillo piece solution and the 4 piece solution, there is another simpler solution using 2 Granadillo pieces and the Morado piece. Can you find it? As always with a CD puzzle, MagneTeam is beautifully and precisely made. Well done!
Beautiful finish. I really like the heft of metal puzzles like this. Working out the disassembly and reassembly was fun and challenging.
This had me stumped for quite a while (as all good puzzles should). I went thru many attempts. It was only after a vague hint (which I shouldn't have needed if I were a more experienced puzzle solver) that I finally figured it out. Incredible craftsmanship, beautiful solution. It did not disappoint. Proud to have this in my collection.
A masterful design and build that is a lasting legacy of a grrat desigber builder and humanbeing.
A shining aluminum cube composed of 8 supremely machined, and smoothly interlocking pieces. It took me a few weeks to solve, and during that time the final move always seemed elusive to me. No matter how I tried, the end remained impossible to negotiate, and then... AH HA!!!
The "Topless Box" is an enigma that is as good to look at, as it is to contemplate. It's got all of the mystery, and beauty you expect from the great team at CubicDissection. Not an easy solve, and loaded with clues when you start working it. I have not solved it, and that makes it the more intriguing.
I generally prefer these puzzles as assembly challenges, with the assumption that it would make it more difficult. But this clever puzzle hides some wonderful tricks to get it apart. It was very satisfying to shift these metal pieces into different configurations that looked impossible to separate! It's a nice size too, I wouldn't want it any bigger or heavier, otherwise playing with it would be a strain.
I have a bunch of different melting block puzzles. This one is by far the heaviest! The fit and feel of these pieces is fantastic. I always worry that the wood won't hold up against the metal, but the puzzle played well.
I loved this puzzle. It is a significant challenge with just the right difficulty level. I reviewed it on my website a couple of weeks ago:
Love the puzzle. Beautifully made. Bert very professional.
