COMMENTS: | I've been on a bit of a complex burr tear lately. It started with the Fusion series and went from there. I was able to aquire a large amount of choice Walnut, maple and cherry, and so I've been able to keep the woods consistant and make almost a kind of set of interesting and non-conventional burrs. This update includes the last few of those puzzles, all of which should compliment each other very well on the shelf. Needless to say, they all challenge the mind as well!
Happy New Year is a recent design from Mr. Konijnenburg with ten pieces and a unique level 16.2.4 solution. Not for the faint of heart, this puzzle is exceedingly confusing to get started. The choice of three woods give a clue as to which pieces are along which axis, providing a much needed clue to get you going. This is a difficult puzzle. Handcrafted from choice domestic lumbers, the fit and feel is very precise. Movement is spot on at normal humidity (~60%). 42 copies made for sale, each signed and dated. Ships assembled. |
