DESIGNER: William Hu
MATERIAL: Curly Ash and Curly Figured Ash
RELEASE DATE: 5.15.2020
EDITION: 64 Copies Released
SIZE: 3"

Geneva is the first new puzzle by William Hu in quite some time. Named after the clockwork mechanism that it's partially inspired by, the level 9.3.4 solution includes some very unique rotations and coordinate motions. During assembly, there's a fair amount of freedom, with a lot of dead ends to run into and circles to run around in. Geneva is a nice addition to any TIC collection.

64 total copies made for sale, each signed and dated. 54 copies in Curly Ash, 10 copies in Curly Figured Ash were made for this release. This puzzle is shipped disassembled.

Fantastic puzzle

I'm largely a beginner to mechanical puzzles, though I've solved a few Hanayamas and a couple of other William Hu offerings (including his first puzzle, Assembly Cube, and two of his Pin Cubes series). The puzzle ships disassembled, and putting it together (using only the description and images on this page) took just under two hours. After figuring out the assembly, you quickly realise that two of the pieces just don't seem to be able to interlock in the way they're needed, and even once you figure out how to interlock them, you still need to figure out how to get the other two pieces in place as well (beginner tip: assemble three of the pieces, put a finger in place of the fourth one, and then try to disassemble it without breaking your finger). The solution is a delight to replay for how unique the rotations and coordinate motions are. All in all, a fantastic puzzle.

Great puzzle!!!!

I didnt know what I was getting into when ordering this creation from Hu. The cubicdissection explanation got me to buy it and Im happy I did. It is an EXTREMELY cool solve. One of those puzzles you can take apart and reassemble over and over just because you are amazed by how it works.
