COMMENTS: | Hand crafted from quality maple and wenge, the Stickman No. 7 Puzzle Box is definitely not for the faint of heart. You can throw luck, trial and error, and random chance movements out the window with this puzzle. It will take a substantial amount of thought, lots of advanced planning, and even a basic attack strategy in order to get into its four hidden chambers.
The intricately inlayed maze patterns on the four movable drawers of this box are not only decorative, but also interact with each other. Moving a drawer to a desired location first requires repositioning all drawers that adjoin it. Of course, prior to repositioning these adjoining drawers, the drawers next to them also have to be moved. The process is somewhat like a Rubic's Cube, where each new move disrupts any progress that has already been achieved. By the time that all neighboring drawers are finally positioned correctly, the original drawer has been manipulated so much that the originally planned move is no longer valid. Each move really has to be thought out in advance. Another unique aspect to this box is that (once opened) the drawers can be placed back into its cage in more than 4000 different unique combinations. Changing the relationship of the maze panels to each other will not only produce an entirely different solution to this puzzle, but it significantly changes the difficulty and the overall opening strategy as well. The box is originally set with a medium level of difficulty, (which takes about 2 hours to figure out), but it can be reconfigured to take anywhere from 15 minutes to over 6 hours to get open. The box measures approx. 5" x 5" x 3 ½" and comes with a fully illustrated instruction booklet. The Stickman No 7 Puzzle Box is limited to only 18 completed pieces. |
