I've long been a fan of Coffin's angled stick puzzles. They're tricky, beautiful when assembled, and unique among interlocking puzzles. The angles are very confusing which leads to a fantastic ah-ha moment!
"Pineapple Pile" is the first and easier angled stick offering for this update. A successor to our previously offered Double Cross; it adds three pieces and another layer to the base shape. Tricky but not impossible to assemble, this is a good introduction to the much more difficult "Too Hard" .
Construction of this puzzle is excellent, with a precise fit. The holes are very accurately drilled and located with little tearout; a formidable challenge when working with round stock.
39 copies made for sale, each signed and dated. This puzzle is shipped unassembled.
Hard to get started, but once you get the first bit done, the rest flows pretty intuitively. It's different from a lot of the puzzles out there right now, and it's a nice change of pace. I liked it a lot and recommend it to anyone.
Two masters combine to create Pineapple Pile. The godfather of puzzle design and the maestro of production. Pineapple pile is a interlocking angled stick and rod puzzle. The puzzle is satisfying for any skill level and looks great on display in any setting. A real conversation starter.
