Fun and really addictive. I really appreciate the concept of twelve straight/twisted puzzle and this is a good challenge to rebuild.
i have an unofficial 'architectural' category in my collection, which began with a version of this puzzle that Eric made in 2008. if a puzzle has some element that i want to replicate on a large scale as part of a building--though i have yet to actually do this--, then it's an architectural puzzle. puzzleboxes that look like houses are *not* part of this category. it's a detail thing.
i love the joinery and precision of this puzzle so much that i couldn't resist the rerelease. then i came back for another, because the proportions of the puzzle suggested an interesting construct, which is an artsy-nerdy-pretentious way of saying i wanted to link all three puzzles together with the original in the middle. when i went down into the Puzzle Stacks to retrieve the original, and saw that it was smaller than the current version...well, In for a penny, sorta thing...had to get a third one. it was an Artistic Imperative. which is how i'll try to explain it to my wife if [when] she finds out i've bought more than one of these.
Nice goin Eric all very good indeed!
